Day 1

Arrival, city walls and Tang-style night life

Arrive in Xi’an and meet your guide for the airport pickup before making the old city tangible from the top of its City Wall, cycling or walking along one of China’s largest and best-preserved urban fortifications. After dark, change into Hanfu or Tang-style dress and join the lights, music and street life of the Grand Tang Mall.

Day 2

Warriors, noodles and clay

Read the Terracotta Warriors at their original excavation site, with time to understand the scale of the pits and the individual faces of the figures. Then make wide Biangbiang noodles for lunch and shape a miniature clay warrior with a local instructor before continuing toward Mount Hua.

Day 3

Yuquan Temple and Mount Hua

Begin at Yuquan Temple, the traditional gateway used by walkers approaching Mount Hua. Continue to the North Peak on foot or by cableway, then move toward the Middle Peak for broad mountain views, with the exact route adjusted for weather, trail conditions and the group’s energy.

Day 4

Pagodas, museum games and an optional dynasty show

Compare the Big Wild Goose Pagoda with the smaller Tang-era pagoda inside the Xi’an Museum grounds, using both to trace how Chang’an absorbed ideas from the Silk Road. Try traditional cuju and pitch-pot games before a dumpling dinner, with an optional Dynasty Show available for travelers who want a later evening.
